This quintessential release includes two of Bobby Vee’s finest LPs for Liberty records: his self-titled second album Bobby Vee (1961) plus the rocking Bobby Vee Meets The Crickets (1962) - one of his collaborations with Buddy Holly’s backing band. Vee’s records sparkled with pristine production as exemplified here on fabulous songs like “Rubber Ball” “Devil or Angel” and rock & roll standards such as “Peggy Sue” “Lucille” and “The Girl of My Best Friend” among others. Both masterpieces have been remastered and packaged together in this very special collector’s edition which also contains 7 bonus tracks from the same period including the great “How Many Tears” and “Suzie Baby” (Bobby’s first song written at age of 15).
