Rony Verbiest was part of the most diverse jazz ensembles and formations but also accompanied Johan Verminnen and Jo Lemaire for years. The CD ‘I remember Johnny Meijer’ is a tribute to Johnny Meijer recorded together with the Dutch ‘Johan Clement Trio’. Johnny Meijer was the most important Dutch accordion player from Amsterdam although his compositions are not typical jazz compositions Rony verbiest transferred these songs into a wonderful jazz album.
